So I guess that I have gotten a new job that doesn't suck ass. A new job as in something that could actually go on a resume. As in not in the food service industry.
So, I'm working in the offices that ABC owns in the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit on the pilot for their upcoming show The Prince of Motor City. I'm pretty excited to see what's in store. I know I probably won't be working on the show itself due to my lack of knowledge in anything production related, but I'll still get to see the show go from blueprints to real life.
Now, the only bad parts about this job are the commute downtown, it'll probably only last for another 2 months max, and I don't know how long of a workday I'm cut out for. Whatever though, cause now I'll have real experience with stuff, and make some good money doing it. Well, 130$/day is good money for me considering I make maybe 45$ a day at Buddy's.

So, the next few months are gonna really suck. As in literally horrible with the way things are looking now. Get this - by the end of the school year, I will owe somewhere around $2600 for tuition. Add on 500$ for books in my second semester. $300 for car repairs. Roughly $100 a month for gas. Christmas will probably cost me around $350 too since I like buying my brothers all the good presents so that they don't leave getting the good stuff in the hand of various 40-50 year old family members. Anyway, all this cash adds up to roughly $4350 which I will need around the end of April.
My job currently pays $7.50 an hour, and that probably won't go up for a while since I just started working there last week. They have me working 25 hours a week, which I really don't even want to work since I go to school full time (well, I only have 13 credit hours this semester, but I'm aiming for at least 14-16 next semester). I told them I want 10-15 hours a week, but they don't like reading so whoever decided to make the schedule either can't read, or just doesn't give a shit. Anyway, assuming I keep working 25 hours a week at $7.50 an hour, I'll make $750 a month. At that rate, it will take 5.8 months to have enough money to be completely out of any debt I have to anyone and start making money for next year. Of course, this is all really optimistic since I'm (stupidly) not taking taxes into account, days I take off for sick/personal reasons, and my inevitable breakdown from working 5 days a week while going to school full time.
Not only does that whole situation make me pissed, but I'm not even paying my whole tuition, I only had to pay a third of it this year. Secondly, I'm only at University of Michigan Dearborn, and when I go to Ann Arbor next year it's going to be more than $10,000 a year there.
Yeah, I know that I really shouldn't complain about being in debt as a college student, especially with at least 3 full years ahead of me, but owing anyone any amount of money eats me alive. I hate the feeling of owing people something, especially something like money that (unfortunately) is a big factor in how people do anything in life.

Yeah, I woke up a little late today since I was planning on studying hardcore for my Art History 100-something exam today, but I ended up going on AIM, Stumble, taking a shower, and managing to get iTunes open and playing music. What's a work ethic?
Anyway, I took that test, expecting to get destroyed and embarrassed by it, but it turned out relatively easy considering the excessive amount of cramming done along with me not knowing roughly 20% of the material. Another one is coming up in less than a month, so I guess I'll see where that leads me.
In other news, I got a job making pizzas at a local restaurant at $7.50/hour, plus discounts and free stuff. The works not hard, the people are cool, the schedule seems easy enough, and the decent wage (for me at least) and free food make it awesome. My favorite part would have to be that by the time I make the 1300 or so dollars required to pay off my current semesters tuition, the new one will be starting. I'm still broke for about another few months, but whatever, I need the money, I need to to work (since I go crazy without having a job now), and I needed something to waste my time with since studying obviously isn't on that list.

Yeah, I've been lazy lately and not updating. Life got busy, I got distracted, things (kinda) got done.
Good news: I have a job, I might be getting an iPod touch (which I've been wanting since the second I heard about it), it's raining outside, and it's October, my favorite month of the year!
Bad news: I have an exam on Wednesday, and should be studying since I know next to nothing thats going to be on it, I still owe a lot of people money, and my fucking computer is sitting there as and inconveniently large $2000 5.1 surround sound paper weight. My life needs figuring out, since I can't seem to get what I want when I want it, and what I want most is probably the farthest away and most difficult to get.
Kuh-Razy news: I started my own fraternity called "TΣT". I kind of considered it a joke of sorts since I saw fliers advertising the "Biggest Fraternity on Campus!" and wanted to make the smallest on campus with me and 2 friends. We really haven't done anything yet since it's less than a week old, but I think there are some people that seriously want a part of this. I figure "why not? what the hell!", so only time will tell how kickass this really turns out.
